Fourth of July
A spirited tribute to an American celebration, our Fourth of July tablescape pairs classic red, white, and blue with playful patterns and polished details—a festive nod to our stateside hosts, styled the Mrs. Alice way.
We know what you’re thinking: What’s a British brand doing celebrating the Fourth of July?
And to that, we say—when the setting is this lovely and there’s cake on the table, we’re perfectly happy to declare a temporary truce.
Our Independence Day table was styled at The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection—a charming coastal escape in South Carolina where the moss hangs low and sweet tea is practically a food group. Naturally, we arrived armed with our Red Gingham Cutlery, Navy Hobnail Glassware, and zero hard feelings.
The result? A table that says “independence” with a smile—and not a single cup of tea thrown overboard. It features star-spangled placemats, American flag linens, and just enough red, white, and blue to keep the peace—a table fit for presidents and kings (though, regrettably, no monarchs made the guest list).
Whether you're manning the barbecue or avoiding it entirely, the Fourth is a lovely excuse to gather your favourites, set the table, and celebrate summer with a little extra charm—especially now that the revolution’s well behind us and everyone’s invited to the party. After all, there’s nothing like a bit of decorative unity to smooth over one small historical disagreement.
Want to steal the look?
We’ve gathered everything you need to recreate our Independence Day-inspired table—minus the revolution. Celebrate in true Mrs. Alice style this Fourth of July, with playful, polished details designed to bring charm and joy to your summer table.
