All of our lampshades are designed with a fixed gimbal fitting, which connects securely to your lamp base using fixed arms attached to the inner ring of the shade. This type of fitting is designed specifically for table lamps and floor lamps, and is positioned approximately 2-7cm from the base of the shade dependant on the size of the shade for the perfect balance and fit.

To make sure your lampshade works with both UK (BC/Bayonet Cap) and European (ES/Edison Screw) fittings, every shade (apart from our Frilled Silk Lampshades) come with a removable reducer ring. This plastic insert can be easily clipped in or out, allowing for universal compatibility without the need for extra tools or adaptors. The reducer ring is easy to remove — simply press together and push down.

Proper care of your fabric lampshade will help maintain its beauty and extend its lifespan.
1. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust and dirt from the lampshade's surface.
2. Position your lampshade away from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause colours to fade.
3. Dampen a clean, soft cloth with the soapy water and gently blot the stains. Do not rub vigorously, as this can damage the fabric. Allow the lampshade to air dry completely before reattaching it to the lamp.
